Bending Ply (1/8" x 4' x 4')

Bending ply is commonly used for shaping wood with the assistance of a vacuum, by gluing layers of ply together (with the grain aligned in the same direction) over a mold or form (usually made of plywood, MDF, rigid foam, or steel). We use a VacuPress system here with the pump, hoses, and bags available to rent from the E4 Tool Checkout; the platens are stored beneath the maple workbenches in the E4 Wood Shop.
